I gave my reading in Andrea’s splendid bookshop last night. There were some 40 people listening, concentrating, even taking notes as I read extracts from The Truants and the team at the bookshop reviewed a dozen new titles. Everyone bought at least one book; happy to part with good money for enthusiastically described works. It was a sight to behold. Where is the net book agreement when you need it? It was a wonderful evening and what a brilliant idea to promote books.
